Two years ago, CHF adopted cloud technology to support all its business functions. Recently, CHF engaged with Virtustream to conduct a VMware vSphere Health Check on its vSphere cloud deployment. The check involves an assessment of the configuration, operations and usage and works with CHF International’s IT organisation to review best practices in the five layers of the VMware technology stack. Virtustream consultants implementing the Health Check identified a number of areas for optimisation and working with CHF’s IT department, they began implementing the recommendations while also developing a plan for long-term management of the cloud.
“We’d had great engagements with Virtustream in the past, so naturally when it came time to do an assessment of our cloud infrastructure, we turned to them,” said Billy Blake, senior manager of IT for CHF International. “The Virtustream consultants are highly knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to cloud environments and perform at a high level. Not only were they able to point out areas to optimise and streamline, but they also provided highly skilled consultants to work hand-in-hand with our IT department to execute the suggestions and management of our cloud infrastructure.”
The Virtustream Professional Services team provides a full spectrum of options to help enterprises take advantage of virtualisation and cloud strategies and technologies. Leveraging years of cloud training and expertise, the team is skilled at helping businesses plan for, and implement cloud. “Most enterprises embark on the adoption of cloud technology in an effort to benefit from the oft sited cloud promises of scalability and cost savings. Yet, adoption alone does not guarantee these benefits,” said Michael Hoch, Virtustream’s VP of Cloud Advisory Services.“The Virtustream Professional Services team is committed to helping organisations like CHF not only understand all the implications of technology adoption from strategy to the people and process element, but to continue to fine tune and optimise their cloud investments to better serve their business needs.”
