Following the recent announcement on its intent to acquire Wyse, Dell is continuing its momentum in the desktop virtualization space in the U.K., France, Germany and The Netherlands with the availability of end-to-end offerings that are designed to help a wide range of organisations implement virtual desktop technology and deliver productivity benefits for end-users and IT.

DVS Enterprise “Dell and VMware’s collaboration efforts continue to enhance the end-user experience and performance of virtual desktop environments for customers of all sizes,” said Vittorio Viarengo, vice president, End-User Computing, VMware. “With the availability of Dell Desktop Virtualization Solutions Enterprise for VMware View™ 5, Dell expands upon its desktop virtualization portfolio to deliver secure and easily managed VDI solutions.” Oundle School, the third largest boarding school in the U.K., recently deployed Dell’s DVS Enterprise solution which ensures that applications and critical information can be accessed anywhere on demand, improving effectiveness and efficiency of the school. “At Oundle School, we are focused on providing a top notch education experience and therefore require a controlled, reliable, safe and flexible IT environment,” said Ian Peacock, Director of Computer Services, Oundle School. “With Dell’s Desktop Virtualization Solutions, we get that.”
